The Founder
Krystal Chindori Chininga is a multi-entrepreneur, management consultant, agriculturalist and young woman from Guruve, a village in central Zimbabwe. At a young age, she discovered a passion for African development and women empowerment. She has travelled to over 42 countries, working at the nexus of community development and foreign aid. Her life goal has always been to bring her impact back to her family’s home village and her country. She is a senior management advisor for a top consulting company with experience in leading teams of up to 60+ global practitioners. She has previously supported various governments, international development organisations and NGOs including the World Bank, USAID, UNDP, FAO and CARE International among others. Krystal holds a bachelor’s degree in International Agricultural Economics and a master’s degree in International AgriBusiness and Global Development from the Ivy League institution, Cornell University. She is the executive chair and founder of Africentric, a development consultancy based in Harare, Zimbabwe. She also founded the Krystal Chindori Chininga Foundation, an NGO which empowers young girls through education. The foundation pays tuition for 100+ students in Zimbabwe’s ordinary and advanced examination levels, as well as post-secondary education focusing on agriculture. The majority of the beneficiaries are young girls and women from Zimbabwe’s rural areas. Aside from this, Krystal also runs her own farm, sits on the board of two non-profits and is an advocate of youth arts as an avid writer herself

The Director
Timukudze Hungwe is a Women and Girl's Right Advocate whose work is centered on addressing cross-cutting social and gender issues faced by women and girls in Africa. She has 5 years of experience in developing programs that address the needs of girls in Zimbabwe which include access to education and sexual reproductive health and rights. She has worked with 50+ education institutions across Zimbabwe to tackle challenges that adolescent girls face in their pursuit of a brighter future. She is a holder of a Bachelor of laws (Honors) Degree with the University of Zimbabwe. She is the Director of Krystal Chindori-Chininga Foundation where she works to promote girls’ access to quality education. The foundation pays tuition for 100+ students in Zimbabwe’s ordinary and advanced examination levels, as well as post-secondary education focusing on agriculture. Timukudze continues to adamantly fight against gender injustice and strives to help build a community were women and girls rights are recognized and respected.
